Insafe visit at Aradippou Lyceum

During the two-day Training Meeting organized in Larnaca on April 20-21, 2016 by the Network of Safer Internet Centres Insafe, twenty members of the Network visited Aradippou Lyceum “Tasos Mitsopoulos” in order to get informed about the actions implemented at the school as a part of the “Young Coaches Campaign”.

The visit gave the opportunity to the high school students to present and promote their innovative work on internet safety issues resulting to a fruitful exchange of ideas and best practices with the representatives of the Insafe towards the internet safety awareness campaigns developed and implemented at schools in European countries.

The “Young Coaches Campaign” is implemented within the context of the project ‘CyberEthics’ and is coordinated by the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute (CPI) in collboration with the Cyprus Neuroscience & Technology Institute (CNTI), the Pancyprian Coordinating Committee for the Protection and Welfare of Children (PCCPWC), Microsoft and the Young Coaches. The aim of the Campaign is to train school children on internet safety who will in return propose and implement actions and activities in order to inform their schools, families and communities on how to better protect themselves online.
