Food Security Month: Map Your Meal

17th October 2015: Cooking with Future Worlds Center
Two traditional food making workshops will be realised in collaboration with Utopia Collectiva, on Saturday 17th of October, at 48 Areos Street in Nicosia, as part of the EU-funded project Map Your Meal (www.mapyourmeal.org).

The first morning workshop will take place from 11:00-14:00, where children will prepare and create the traditional dish of “koupepia” under the guidance and expertise of the older generations, and a second afternoon workshop will take place from 16:00-19:00, for adults who will be preparing the stuffed vegetables dish.

Local Food Festival– MAP YOUR MEAL (Date and location to be announced)
A Local Food Festival is organised within the framework of the Map your Meal project that will involve various local producers aiming to inform the public on sustainability topics. The local producers, whilst promoting their products, will be providing information to the public about the methods and the potential hardships of their labour, with the overall aim to promote the local market. Several interactive activities for children will be conducted in order to raise their awareness on sustainability topics. The festival is organised in collaboration with the Centre for the Promotion of Traditional Products and Nautilus SAR.
